Cycling Vosges

The southern part of the Vosges has a lot to offer with respect to cycling. Apart from an extensive network of sign-posted VTT cycling routes (mountainbike routes) there is a so called "voie verte" (green track), an old railway line which is now a cycling route from Cornimont to Remiremont, a good 70 kilometers of rather flat cycling through woods and small villages, free of motorized traffic. Of course there are also a great many small roads quiet enough for an enjoyable bicycle ride. For the real cycling sport freak, finally, famous cols like the Grand Ballon(1424m), the Ballon d´ Alsace(1247m) and the Hohneck (1362) offer a real challenge.

The following pages show a number of possible mountain-bike routes in the vicinity of La Beuratte. These routes connect to many other route networks enabling a great variety of combinations.
